1. Hotel Santa Caterina

Hotel Santa Caterina is absolutely stunning and has some of the nicest hotel staff you’ll meet. It’s set on a clifftop overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea and the town of Amalfi.

The 19th-century liberty-style villa offers 66 rooms and suites. Each one features Italian interiors, hand-painted majolica floors, marble bathrooms, and balconies. When you step out on the balcony, you’ll have a view of the sea or the garden.

2. Caruso, A Belmond Hotel, Amalfi Coast

Caruso, A Belmond Hotel, Amalfi Coast is a 15-minute drive away from the water. It’s a former 11th-century palace that’s set on a cliff that’s 1,000 feet above sea level. At the hotel, you’ll see expansive views of the Amalfi Coast.

There are 50 elegant rooms and suites. They’re well-designed with stone walls, plants, and spacious marble bathrooms. If you’re able to, get the sea view room or suite because the views are unbeatable.

During your stay, you must go to the heated infinity pool, which is located at the highest point above the town of Ravello. It offers a breathtaking view, and the edge seamlessly blends with the sea and sky.

3. Monastero Santa Rosa Hotel & Spa

Monastero Santa Rosa Hotel & Spa is a 10-minute drive west of the center of Amalfi. It was a 17th-century monastery that’s now an elegant clifftop hotel with an excellent atmosphere.

There are only 20 rooms and suites, which gives you a more intimate experience. In every room and suite, you’ll find expansive sea views and an Italian residential experience.

4. Palazzo Avino

Palazzo Avino is an elegant and charming hotel that’s known as the Pink Palace among the locals. The 12th-century villa is set on a hillside in Ravello, which overlooks the sea and gardens.

5. NH Collection Grand Hotel Convento di Amalfi

NH Collection Grand Hotel Convento di Amalfi is a short walk away from many restaurants and attractions, making it a great location. It’s a luxurious hotel that offers privacy and seclusion while being very close to town.

The hotel is in a former 13th-century monastery that overlooks the sea. There are 53 rooms and suites. Most of them have incredible views of the sea and Amalfi coastline. Each room also features elegant white walls and terracotta tiles.

6. Hotel Miramalfi

Hotel Miramalfi is romantic and beautiful. It’s set on a cliffside, which gives you panoramic views of the sea and the town. The staff makes it even better. They’re so welcoming and kind.

At Hotel Miramalfi, there are 49 rooms. Room types range from single to suites. Regardless of the room, you’ll have a gorgeous view of the sea. Some rooms also have a terrace or balcony, which allows you to take in the scenic views with privacy.

A unique feature is that Hotel Miramalfi has a private beach for guests. It has an elevator built into the cliffs that’ll take you down.

There are two on-site restaurants and a cafe for dining and drinks. Hotel Miramalfi is in a great location, which means you can drive or walk to other restaurants or bars.

7. Hotel Marina Riviera

Hotel Marina Riviera is right next to town and the sea. It’s in a building that’s been there since the beginning of the year 900. Being so close to town, you don’t have to worry about driving everywhere, as you can walk to the main square.

There are a total of 34 beautiful rooms and suites. The rooms have Mediterranean styling and a serene view of Amalfi’s bay. Some rooms have balconies that overlook the beach and town. It’s such a charming sight.

While you’re at Hotel Marina Riviera, spend time at the solarium and pool. Then, head to the terrace bar for drinks and a postcard view.

8. Villa Cimbrone

Villa Cimbrone is a prestigious hotel that’s set in an 11th-century manor. It’s located on a hill overlooking the sea and is a 15-minute drive northeast of the main square. If you prefer to stay in Ravello, it’s just a 10-minute walk from the center.

The hotel is excellent, and the rooms and suites are elegant. Each room features unique decor, frescoed surfaces, stone fireplaces, and Majolica floors. Also, there are only 19 rooms and suites. You’ll have an amazing boutique experience.

At Villa Cimbrone, there are two restaurants. You can have a meal at Il Flauto di Pan or Mediterraneo. For drinks, there’s a wine cellar and two bars, La Veranda and Il Balcone di Lucille.

9. Il San Pietro di Positano

Il San Pietro di Positano is incredible. The views are spectacular, and the staff is impeccable. If you’re looking to stay away from the crowds at the main part of the Amalfi Coast, this is the best choice. It’s a half an hour drive away, making it easy to explore the main square and see neighboring towns.

The hotel is set on a cliffside with views of the Amalfi coastline and the Mediterranean Sea. Its rooms and suites are unique, luxurious, and spacious. Each one comes with a terrace that overlooks the sea. Regardless of the room you choose, you’ll love it.

There are also plenty of activities that are available to you as a guest. You can go hiking, play tennis, relax at the private beach, go on a garden or wine tour, and experience the culture. For dining, eat at Zass or Carlino. Zass has a Michelin Star, and you can take cooking classes.

10. L’Antico Convitto

L’Antico Convitto is a 3-star hotel, and while it isn’t the most luxurious option, it’s right in the main square. The hotel is steps away from the Amalfi Coast.

There are 10 rooms and suites that have views of the streets or the cathedral. They have large windows, which let in a lot of natural light. If you’re looking for a place to stay the night while you spend all day exploring, this is a good choice.
