Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea is luxurious, and you’ll love the entire experience from beginning to end. It’s located in the southwestern part of Maui and is set right next to the world-famous Wailea Beach.

There are 383 guest rooms and 72 suites. The rooms are very spacious, as the smallest is 600 square feet. You’ll also have a large marble bathroom, deep soaking tub, and separate shower. Most of the rooms and suites have great views of the ocean, garden, mountain, or resort grounds.

During your stay, you can dine at three on-site restaurants, soak in three pools, enjoy a spa treatment, and play golf at any of the three courses.

2. Hotel Wailea, Relais & Châteaux

Hotel Wailea is further up from the beach. It’s just over a mile away from the shores of Wailea Beach. However, it still has gorgeous views of the ocean and mountains, as it’s set on a 15-acre hillside.

It’s an adults-only hotel that’s filled with ocean-view suites. From the suites, you’ll also have unobstructed views of three Hawaiian islands. Each suite also has its own unique decor and original artwork. They’re beautifully designed and have plenty of in-suite amenities.

Dining at Hotel Wailea is one of the best in Maui. Enjoy open-air dining with fresh, organic, and local fare. You can eat at The Restaurant at Hotel Wailea, The Treehouse, The Birdcage Bar, or The Cabanas.

3. Montage Kapalua Bay

Montage Kapalua Bay is located in the northwestern part of Maui. It overlooks Namalu and Kapalua Bay. You can also see other Hawaiian islands from the hotel, and it’s half a mile from the tranquil and stunning Kapalua Bay Beach.

Staying at Montage Kapalua Bay is similar to staying in a condo or penthouse. The smallest and starting room is 1,250 square feet. It has 1 bedroom, a living and dining room. If you need more space, you can go up to four bedrooms. They’re all luxurious and have a large soaking tub.

Whether you want relaxation, outdoor activities, or water sports, you can have it all at The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua. It’s a luxurious resort that’s set on 22,000 incredible acres. You’ll have miles of hiking trails and access to six beautiful beaches.

Its rooms, suites, and residences have recently been redesigned with modern and island-inspired decor. You can choose between a view of the lush greenery, mountains, pool, or ocean. The rooms also have marble bathrooms with soaking tubs and separate showers.

From pastries at Kai Cafe to a nice dinner at The Banyan Tree, The Rits-Carlton offers seven different dining options. There’s also a spa and many outdoor activities. The resort is slightly remote, which means the beaches are the main attraction.

5. Hyatt Regency Maui Resort And Spa

Hyatt Regency Maui Resort And Spa is set on 40 acres on Kaanapali Beach. While it’s a little isolated from other attractions, the resort is in a beautiful spot. It’s an excellent resort for a beach vacation. Plus, it has six free-form pool areas with waterfalls.

Overall, it’s a large resort. There are 779 rooms and 31 suites to pick from. They’ve recently been renovated to be more comfortable and upscale. If you’re able to, go with the ocean view room for expansive and stunning views.

Hyatt offers 10 different on-site restaurants and lounges. Finding a place to eat will be a breeze, as you’ll find different cuisines.

6. Ho’oilo House Bed and Breakfast

Ho’oilo House Bed and Breakfast is nestled in the West Maui Mountains, just over a mile from the beach. If you’re looking for a laid-back adults-only place that’s not a large hotel, this is an excellent pick.

It’s a small and intimate place, as there are only six rooms. Each room has a king or queen bed, a bathroom, small fridge, and some have ocean views. During your stay, you’ll get peace, privacy, and beautiful views of the ocean and mountains.

For food, you can enjoy a daily continental breakfast in the common area. Aside from breakfast, you can dine at the nearby restaurants.

7. Fairmont Kea Lani

Fairmont Kea Lani is a high-end resort that’s right next to Polo Beach. The beachfront property is one of the top hotels and resorts in Wailea. It’s the perfect place for an upscale, romantic beach vacation that’s also family-friendly.

It only has suites and villas, which range from 860 to 2,200 square feet. The views range from side streets to ocean views. Each suite and villa features a marble bathroom with a separate soaking tub and shower. They’re spacious and elegant.

For food, there are five on-site restaurants. You can also order room service if you prefer to stay in. Aside from food, there’s a spa and plenty of activities at the resort.

8. Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort

Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort is one of the most popular resorts in Maui. It’s set on 15 beachfront acres and overlooks Mokapu Beach. It’s also the most high-end out of the three Hyatt properties in Maui.

There are 301 rooms, 35 of them are suites, and 11 are luxury villas. Overall, the rooms look more modern than most of the other hotels and resorts in Maui. Each room features a free minibar with snacks and non-alcoholic beverages.

Andaz Maui has a few restaurants on-site. For fine dining with ocean views, have sushi at Morimoto Maui. Ka’ana Kitchen is the restaurant that’s open all day, and Bumbye Beach Bar is perfect for a poolside snack and drinks.

9. Grand Wailea, A Waldorf Astoria Resort

For a massive and luxury beachfront resort, stay at Grand Wailea, A Waldorf Astoria Resort. It’s set on 40 acres, features two huge pools that consist of smaller ones. Wailea Canyon Activity Pool is 25,700 square feet, and Hibiscus Pool covers 4,850 square feet.

The rooms and suites are spacious. They start at 640 square feet and have lush tropical or ocean views. Each one also has a private lanai, mini-fridge, walk-in shower, and tub.

There’s so much to do, and Grand Wailea has plenty of amenities. In addition to the pools, it features five restaurants, a spa, and three golf courses. A fun fact is that the movie Just Go With It was filmed there.

10. Napili Kai Beach Resort

Napili Kai Beach Resort is one of the more affordable places to stay in Maui. It cost less than other high-end resorts, but it still offers excellent service and expansive views of the ocean.

The rooms look a little dated, and they have views of the ocean or garden. Being so close to the water, the ocean view rooms have amazing views of the waves and sunset.

Sea House is an on-site open-air restaurant. It serves delicious sea-to-table cuisine and offers incredible sunset views. It’s right on the beach, making it a magical meal.
