The Kimpton Rowan is one of the best hotels in Palm Springs. It’s a chic and modern hotel located in the heart of downtown.

Kimpton Rowan Palm Springs Hotel is modern and stunning. Behind the hotel is a beautiful view of the San Jacinto Mountains. The rooms are modern and spacious. Plus, the staff are welcoming, knowledgeable of the area, and friendly.

What the rooms are like

Kimpton Rowan Palm Springs Hotel has some of the best hotel rooms in Palm Springs. All 153 of the guestrooms and suites are modern, spacious, and features large windows to capture a ton of natural light.

The beds are comfortable and have bedside tables with outlets and USB ports. It makes keeping your devices accessible and convenient.

Blue, white, and beige are mixed with wood and cement accents. It gives off a modern and ocean vibe.

You can choose between a view of downtown or the San Jacinto Mountains. The mountain view is magnificent, but it also overlooks a parking lot, which slightly takes away from the mountains.

The sweet spot when it comes to the view is a corner room because you’ll see downtown Palm Springs along with the backdrop of the mountains.

It also has a nice bathroom with a barn door. It’s bright, modern, and has a large vanity. You’ll get luxury Atelier Bloem bath amenities and plush robes. The shower is large. However, the back is left open. It may result in the water splashing out of the shower.

You can also upgrade to a suite, which is twice the size of a regular guestroom. The suites have soaking tubs, a spa-style shower, a balcony, a large workspace, and some have a living room.

There are plenty of dining options when you stay at The Rowan. You can eat on-site or walk outside and choose from one of the many restaurants on the strip. Between 7 AM and 10 PM, you can order room service.

On-site, you can eat at Juniper Table, which is open every day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You’ll order food at the counter and find a seat inside or outside.

Juniper Table is a casual and modern place to have Mediterranean-inspired food, coffee, and pastries. They also offer American food, such as grilled cheese or burgers.

Another great dining choice is 4 Saints, which is located on the rooftop. It’s a restaurant and bar, which serves delicious small places in an upscale setting. Have a meal at 4 Saints for the small plates, cocktails, and mountain views.

For drinks, you can go to High Bar, which is right next to the rooftop pool. You can also go down to the lobby for cocktails at Window Bar.

If you want to eat outside of the hotel, walk across the street to North Palm Canyon Drive. Whether you go left or right at the intersection, there are plenty of restaurants on both sides of the street.

Several popular places include Wilma & Frieda’s, Lulu California Bistro, Pomme Frite, Zin American Bistro, Las Casuelas Original, Sherman’s Deli & Bakery, and Antigua Kitchen + Bar.

During your stay, there are a lot of amenities that you’ll have access to. The rooftop pool is the most popular. It’s shallow and offers beautiful views of the San Jacinto Mountains.

The $40 daily resort fee covers daily wine reception during the evening social hour from 5 PM to 6 PM. It also covers valet parking, bikes that you can borrow, a house car, golf bag storage, and business services.

You’ll also have access to the fitness center, which has bikes, treadmills, ellipticals, dumbbells, resistance bands, medicine balls, and a BOSU ball. If you prefer to exercise in your room, there’s a yoga mat to the side of the entryway.

Other amenities include in-room spa treatments, coffee service every morning, overnight laundry, and dry cleaning. IHG Rewards members get a few benefits, such as free Wi-Fi and a $30 credit for in-room spa treatments.

Nearby attractions

The Rowan Palm Springs is in an excellent location because you can walk to so many different restaurants and shops.

While you’re staying there, be sure to check out the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway, Palm Springs Air Museum, Joshua Tree National Park, and the Art Museum, which a block away. There are also several trails to hike, tennis courts, and golf courses.
