How to use the restaurant credit

Some restaurants swipe your card in the beginning, while others charge it once you finish your meal. As a best practice, ask the host if you’ll need your Priority Pass card before or after the meal. If your meal costs more than the credit, they’ll bring a bill for the remaining balance.

Although the food is covered through the Priority Pass benefit, you should tip your waiter or waitress. If gratuity is automatically applied, you don’t need to.

How do I get a Priority Pass membership?

You can either buy a membership directly with Priority Pass, or you can get a membership through a many of the premium credit cards.

Can you use the dining credit on arrival or only on departure?

Both. However, the restaurant may ask to see your boarding pass to confirm same-day travel.

What about Amex?

As of August 1, 2019, American Express discontinued complimentary airport restaurant access for its cards that include a Priority Pass membership. You can still access lounges with the card.

What credit cards come with it?

The following credit cards offer complimentary Priority Pass membership with the restaurant benefit: Chase Sapphire Reserve®, Citi Prestige® credit card, Mastercard® Black card, Mastercard® Gold card, The Ritz-Carlton™ credit card, and U.S. Bank Altitude™ Reserve.
